EcoShield™ silver-fibre weave
Ultra-fine silver threads are woven throughout the organic cotton structure. Silver is one of the most electrically conductive metals on earth — it creates a Faraday cage effect across the surface of the blanket.

Faraday attenuation
When electromagnetic waves encounter the conductive silver mesh, they are attenuated — redirected and absorbed rather than passing through. This is the same principle used in shielded cables and MRI rooms.

The EcoShield™ silver-fibre weave is robust but requires gentle treatment to maintain full attenuation performance. Follow these guidelines and your blanket will outlast its two-year guarantee many times over.

Machine wash 30°
Gentle or delicate cycle only. Cold or warm — never hot. Detergent without bleach or optical brighteners.
Air dry flat
Never tumble dry. Lay flat on a clean surface or dry over a rack. High heat degrades the silver-fibre connections.
No bleach or softener
Both degrade the silver content and reduce attenuation performance. A gentle organic detergent is all you need.
50+ wash guarantee
Shielding performance is certified to be maintained for a minimum of 50 washes at 30° with correct care.
Store in the dust bag
Between uses, store in the supplied forest green cotton dust bag. Protects the silver weave from tarnishing and physical wear.
2-year guarantee
Every Ova Blanket carries a two-year guarantee on shielding performance. If it fails, we replace it. No questions.
